Today I mourn my friend......

Angels on Earth appear when we least expect them, but when we truly need them the most. Often times they disguise themselves as strangers...who gradually become our friends. They come to help us in times of unrest, seemingly unaware of the true impact they are creating. Their words of encouragement help us climb the steep peaks of our strife, all the while calmly guiding us towards the realizations hidden deeply within the valleys of our pain.

At times these angels must prove themselves worthy by taming the struggles they own before they are given the task of helping others move forward. Their missions may be short lived, but for some the work is plentiful as they emphatically influence the lives of so many within their scope. And he did.

When the angels came to call, I can only imagine the massive outpouring of love that surrounded him from those waiting to greet him in Heaven. His time here was brief but he helped to make our little corner of the world a much brighter place...and now...that light has dimmed...yet its glow will remain in our hearts forever.

Welcome Home Brian! Your journey here is complete! But on a selfish note, I will miss you and all that you've done to help me. But we'll all see each other again someday. So smile - you've earned your wings my friend. And please tell my Jessica how much I love her, and give her a big hug and a kiss from me.
