As the hard work and dedication of so many of our friends and family came to a close at The IFH Club a year ago today, another family learned of the tragic death of their 17-year old daughter, Alyssa Emrich, who's life was lost on the slippery roads on Rt. 11 on the evening of February 15, 2009. Another child taken from this earth much to soon...leaving yet another unimaginable void in the hearts of so many...
Paths cross and lives entwine in many peculiar ways. These two young ladies never met while on earth, yet a date stamped on a calendar connected them in time, and as their bodies lay so close to one another at Tod Homestead Cemetery, I can only believe that God has brought them together in eternity for some greater good.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Emrich family as their first year has come full circle.

Wow. This is so ironic. I was terribly missing my best friend so I decided to just google her - i'm not sure why. I came upon this blog. On Alyssa's 6month anniversary I visited her grave for the first time since burial, where I ran into Jessica's mom because Jessica is layed to res, right by Alyssa. Two lovely ladies whom never met. But made the world just a little bit smaller for me.
